The cemetery
Flower planting regulations
- Plant flowers so they do not hinder maintenance by cemetery staff and so that grass does not grow through the flowers. Dig up grass only where the flowerbed will go.
- Adding statuettes, lanterns, vigil lights, flower pots, plastic/brick borders or fencing to flowerbeds is prohibited. However, these objects are permitted on the monument foundation. To be authorized, they must be permanently attached to the monument.
- It is the client’s responsibility to maintain any flowers they plant. The cemetery is not responsible for maintenance, watering or weeding. If the plot owner requires assistance or wishes to have perennials removed from the plot, a fee will be charged.
- Flowerbeds must be planted along the edge of the monument. Planting flowerbeds at the end of a plot or along the length of a plot is prohibited. The cemetery reserves the right to remove any offending flowers without notice and is not responsible for any resulting damage.
- Annuals and small perennials that will not spread from year to year are permitted.
- Shrubs, rose bushes, and trees of any kind are not permitted.
