The Laval Cemetery is:

Nearly 20 million square feet, five streams, extensive grounds, thematic sections and designed to meet the needs of everyone.

Whether you are interested in the burial of a casket or a cinerary urn, you can choose a one-, two- or four-place plot or one of our many family plots

The grounds are welcoming and well maintained so you will find it a pleasure to come together with your loved ones and share your stories and memories. Benches and tables are installed on the grounds for you to gather with your loved ones.

In addition to traditional tribute sections and various sections dedicated to members of different cultural or religious communities (Lebanese, Haitian, Romanian, African, Orthodox, Congolese, Vietnamese section), the Laval Cemetery offers new sections designed for those with a meaningful eco-friendly tribute in mind.

Note: Burials and cremations take place seven days a week.

The Muslim Cemetery of Montreal

The Muslim Cemetery of Montreal

The Muslim Cemetery of Montreal was inaugurated in the fall of 2015 and occupies a large area in the Laval Cemetery.

The Gardens of the Walker

The Gardens of the Walker

In this section, the ashes are incorporated directly into the earth, so they mix with the soil; no urn is required.

 

Memorial Tree Gardens

Memorial Tree Gardens

Section with a selection of young memorial trees of different species dedicated to the burial of cinerary urns at the base of the tree or to scattering ashes at the base of the tree.

Family or community memorial trees are available.

Community trees: The price includes the plot for an urn and a memorial brass plaque (3¨ x 2¨).

Many species of trees and shrubs as well as a large variety of locations are available.

The price includes: a commemorative brass plaque affixed to the tree of your choice, leaving a perpetual trace of this tribute ceremony.

The Clearing of Remembrance

This section dedicated to the burial of the urn at the base of a commemorative tree is located at the edge of a stream, in a beautiful wooded and planted clearing.

 

The gardens of the streams

The Gardens of the Streams

This section dedicated to the burial of cinerary urns, contains monuments representing the themes of life: water, fire, air, land and love.

Located at the edge of a stream, this section is fully landscaped, and a sculpture entitled The Lovers, created by the artist Bozana Happach, embellishes this site.

The price includes: A shared monument for four perpetual burial rights.

A very beautiful section dedicated to the burial of ashes.

The Laval Cemetery has natural woodlands where ashes may be scattered at the base of existing mature trees.

The price includes: a brass memorial plaque affixed to the chosen memorial tree, leaving a perpetual trace of this tribute ceremony.

Masters and Companions for pets and their masters... A first in Canada!

Masters and Companions is the only cemetery that offers a burial service for pets, making it possible for a pet’s ashes or remains to be buried with those of its master.

Masters and Companions gives you the opportunity to express your attachment and gratitude to your beloved pets by offering them eternal rest in a respectful setting and surrounded by beautiful gardens.
